“I've loved math for most of my life and lost it last year when I took AP Calc. I was kind of dreading this class but it made me regain my love for math very strongly.”

“Overall the TA had everything a student wishes for. Helpful, available, cooperative + understanding. … The way she'd give us time to challenge ourselves, then she gets into the correct solution was very effective for quizzes as it puts me through the thinking process I need to go through.”
— Mid-semester recitation survey
“I liked how at the beginning she had students come up to the board to do the problems so maybe more of that.”
— Mid-semester recitation survey
“She lets us attempt to figure out each problem on our own, then she'll go over it explaining it. Makes it very nice.”

“Dilan's worksheets and explanations of how to solve problems slightly differently than [the lecturer] was also very helpful because it made it easy to look at some topics from a different perspective.”

MTH 299 Transitions, Fall 2025
“The recitations were very supportive, both TAs were passionate about helping students learn.”
— End-of-semester SPLS
“Recitations helped my understanding a lot by getting to work out problems with other students and having the TAs explain thoroughly.”
— End-of-semester SPLS
“I knew exactly where to go when I needed help for items outside of class, and felt like there was a small community of people who often went together to the help room to get things like homework and studying done. Through this, I felt like I built a good bond with the instructors as well as the T.A.'s which helped my morale within this class.”
